*Rounds are played immediately when available.
**All finals will be played at the same time.
*** Captains are required to confirm player attendance 15 minutes before the start of their first tie.
**** Captains are required to submit their line-up 15 minutes before their tie.

** Only Badminton shoes are permitted inside the venue.
*** Only water and sports drink allowed in the gym.
**** All food, snacks, other than water and sports drink are strictly prohibited within the gym.
[ TEAM REGISTRATION & FORMAT ]

The tournament accommodates a maximum of 12 teams.
-
Each team is required to have a minimum of 6 players and can include a maximum of 10 players.

Team composition mandates a minimum of 4 male players and 2 female players.

This requirement pertains solely to the registration process.
-

Participation is limited to registered and confirmed players only.
-
To be eligible for the Semi-Finals and Finals, all players must participate in at least one match during the tournament, and prior to the Semi-Finals.
[ TOURNAMENT FORMAT ]

Round Robin Stage:
-
During the Round Robin phase, all teams will engage in preliminary matches to determine their placements in the subsequent elimination rounds.

Each pool in the Round Robin stage will accommodate up to 4 teams, with the exact number contingent upon the total teams registered for the tournament.

Within each pool:
-
The team securing the top rank will progress to Division A.
-
The second-ranking team will advance to Division B.
-
Teams ranked third will move on to Division C.
-

Regardless of match outcomes, all five games of the tie will be played during the Round Robin stage.
-
It is important to note that irrespective of Round Robin results, all teams are expected to reconvene the following day to participate in the elimination rounds.

Elimination Rounds (Division A, B, and C):
-
In Semi-Finals & Finals, the first team to secure 3 wins moves on.
-
Teams are welcome to continue playing the remaining games if time permits. However, please be mindful that we may need to reclaim the courts to ensure the smooth progression of the tournament.

Important Club Regulations:
-
The Club's footwear policy will be strictly enforced. Players who repeatedly violate this rule may face immediate disqualification.

Gender-exclusive washrooms must be used according to their assigned gender. Any players found disregarding this rule will be promptly disqualified, with no opportunity to amend ongoing or future ties in the tournament.

[ GAMES & TIE FORMAT ]

Each match consists of a best-of-five format comprising:
-
2 Men's Doubles, 1 Women's Doubles, and 2 Mixed Doubles.

Teams are allowed a maximum of 4 players who can:
-
each eligible to compete in up to 2 matches per tie.
-
However, the same pair cannot participate twice within the same tie.
-

Games are played in a best-of-three format, with rally points awarded up to 21 per set (capped at 30).
-
Matches adhere strictly to the standard rules and regulations set by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
-
On-court players are responsible for officiating their own games, with spectators respectfully urged to refrain from interfering in any capacity, including scorekeeping and line calls.
-
The sequence of matches is determined by the team captains' discretion, and any alterations or accommodations within a tie should be mutually agreed upon by the captains. In the event of disagreement, the organizer's decision is final.

In case of disputes, teams are advised to seek assistance from the Control Desk, whose rulings are conclusive.

Once scores are recorded on the tie sheet, matches are considered final and cannot be contested retroactively. Captains should ensure clear communication to maintain score accuracy.

In instances of forfeits, withdrawals, or no-shows, the affected players will be disqualified from further participation in the tournament.
[ HEALTH GUIDELINE ]
We earnestly advise all players and spectators to adhere to the following guidelines:

Practice frequent handwashing and utilize hand sanitizers regularly to maintain hygiene standards.

Wearing a face mask is strongly encouraged, particularly during the tournament where close contact with numerous individuals is inevitable.

If you exhibit symptoms indicative of flu or cold, we strongly urge you to prioritize public health by staying at home, thereby minimizing the risk of spreading illness to others.
-
The organizers retain the right to deny entry to any individual displaying obvious signs of illness as a precautionary measure.
It's important to note that any individual, including players, demonstrating evident symptoms of a cold, flu, or similar ailment, will be subject to immediate disqualification from participation. These measures are implemented to safeguard the well-being of all attendees and maintain the integrity of the tournament.
[ REGISTRATION & DEADLINES ]

$550 per team ( HST included )
* Every registered player on the roster will receive tournament shirt. ( Limited sizes)
** Every team will be provided 1x dozens of shuttlecocks for the tournament.
*** The only method of payment that we are accepting for this tournament is via e-Transfer from a Canadian Bank. No other form of payment will be accepted.
[ IMPORTANT NOTICE ]
In response to the overwhelming enthusiasm for team tournaments, registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, determined by the timestamp of the email submission. Upon registration, teams are allotted a 24-hour window to submit their payment to finalize their entry.
In the event that the tournament reaches full capacity and alternative arrangements cannot be facilitated, rest assured that we will promptly refund your entry fee in its entirety. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we strive to accommodate all participants and ensure a seamless tournament experience.

Note: Each player will have to sign-in at the tournament on their own to claim their Shirts. For players who do not sign-in with us by the end of the tournament, their gift is are forfeited.

[ DEADLINES ]

*Only players who have participated in the tournament will receive prizes.
[ TOURNAMENT WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY ]
By registering for the tournament, players agree and give permission to be photographed and recorded during the tournament and to be used in the public to promote 4U Badminton Centre and tournament sponsors. Furthermore, all participants assume all risks, damages, and loss that they may incur during the tournament.

Players below the age of 19 years old on the day of the tournament must also register Full name and contact information of their guardian.

All players must be at least the age of 14 years old on the day of the tournament. Organizers reserve the right to request government-issued ID to confirm ID and eligibility of any players on the day of the tournament.
[ PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO CONSENT ]
**By registering for this tournament, you agree to permit photographs and video to be taken of you for uses related to public promotion of UNLTD BADMINTON.
[ DISCLOSURE ]
UNLTD BADMINTON, the organizer, reserves the right to make modification to the tournament without prior notice.

At our facility, the safety and wellness of our members and guests is our top priority. We take every precaution to ensure that our facility is clean and safe for everyone who enters.
To this end, we regularly disinfect every corner of our facility and provide reliable hand washing stations in the lobby. We encourage all members and guests to take advantage of these resources and to follow all safety guidelines to help us maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
We highly recommend that all members and guests be fully vaccinated and wear masks at all times, except when on the court. If you experience any symptoms of sickness, we ask that you please contact us immediately and postpone your booking to a later time.
